Shining Light

First Solo Debut

This song was written as a collaborative effort.

Author and A/V magician Daniele Lanzarotta wrote a rockstar romance novel titled: Life Interrupted, and was in need of a song to go with the book, and so Shining Light was born.

Partnering with musicians Mauricio Mirapalheta and Carolina Salmeron Gomez, we came together to put together this pop-rock tune that embodies the emotions in the book. Check it out on all streaming platforms and feel free to share!

The novel is now available in ebook and kindle format, and is also on the way to audio!

Sleeping in the Cold Below

First Cover Song Reveal

Song performed by request! (and with great thanks to my contributors!)

I’m not shy about being a gamer, but when someone near and dear to me requested this song as soon as it became available, I fell in love with it. Performed alongside Mauricio Mirapalheta once more, I put together footage (recorded by someone, provided on Xbox Series X) and dressed up for the occasion, inspired by Captain Vala Glarios. She’s featured in the Call of the Tempestarii DLC that came out for WARFRAME and the rest is history.

Check it out, and I hope you enjoy.

A Collaborative Effort

Performed and composed by Krys Janae and Amanda Rostykus

Lyrics by Brianna Sugalski, found within her novel Disenchanted, published by Parliament House Press.

In this scene, the main character Lilac Trécesson and her newly made acquaintance, Garin, are in the tavern listening as these bards sing. This was composed for the book, with the approval of the author. The princess Lilac is on her way into the depths of Brocéliande, seeking out a witch to cure her of her Darkling tongue curse.

Former Lead Singer

Krys is former the lead singer and lyricist of Athens to Ashes, the five-piece groove/nu-metal band from central California. After years of knowing Steve Cox (drums), Krys was recruited to the band in late 2019. In January of 2020, they were the opening act for ORGY Music and later in March 2020 for Juno Award winning Unleash the Archers, with plans of more shows prior to the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Despite all odds, they attempted to work remotely and in-studio to track music.

In March of 2021, Krys made a statement regarding her departure from the band. Though the decision wasn’t easy, it was a mutual agreement with her and the band to separate. Although they are not composing new material together, the music produced is still available for stream and purchase. Available tracks include: Set Us Free, Forsaken ft. Avi Cohen, Monster, and Of Might and Madness.

Back in the day, her first gig as a lead singer was with the band Spirit Descending, also from central California.

As her first gig in the rock and metal scene, this was truly an eye-opening and experimental phase, as all musicians involved with Spirit Descending came from different musical training and backgrounds.

With one full-length album and an EP last release in 2013, the band separated due to life events, long-distance, and time constraints that prevented them from working together.
